Hey guys,after a tournament I checked my fuel gauge.Port side was reading 1/4 Starboard-3/4.After fueling up last week each read 3/4.Question: Why am I just pulling gas from just 1 side? I checked the tank selector switch.It was on Dual.I also cycled the switch a few times.Left it on Starboard for now to use some of that gas It's always pulled equally from both..Any ideas or comments? This is on a 2000 Vmax 225 Thanks!
I had to adj. my valve too one side to make it feed evenly from both tanks. I just kept tweeking it until it ran about the same from both. GOODLUCK
I've been told by the Skeeter service trailer that it will draw from the port side more due to the path of least resistance. Something to due with the length of the houses.
We have had a couple do this. Try turning the switch all the way around to the other dual location and see what happens. However, they do tend to pull a little more out of the port side to begin with.
I see the same thing with my ZX202 when I am alone, except the starboard tank gets pulled more than the port tank. I would guess this is because I sit on the starboard side when running and the boat is not balanced evenly??? Did you have a partner for the tournament? How heavy is he? Is the boat loaded evenly? Is this the first time this has happened?
