Perosity

Has anyone ever had a boat that had perosity??

Just got my 21i back from Skeeter. They put a brand new 2008 hull.

Just wanted to know how comon this was with boat mfgs.
The deal said he has seen it on several pleasure boats but never a bass boat.

porosity? As in it was absorbing water through a finishing flaw?

Or is this something else? Sorry im not being a wise arse i just am not sure what ya mean.

Air bubbles in the paint (gel coat) when it was shot.

The gell started rubbing off like a cheap paint job on an old Chevy.

They say they get 1 out of every 100. There are millions of air bubbles that get trapped in the paint.

I heard of this happening to a Ranger. A friend of mine said his his hull was just flaking off. He sent it back to Ranger for repairs, so this is not just something that happens to one brand and not the other.

I would imagine it is all based on atmospheric conditions when its sprayed. Somethings out of wack. Maybe the gun has too much pressure or the gel is mized to thic causing it to trap air.

Got it all done. Had to be without the boat for two months!!

They forgot to put the hambies back on.
They put the motor in two holes higher then what it was.
The motor is sitting cockeyed.
They took all the gas and oil out.
