I have a new white hull Skeeter and am going to put on a new keelguard. I was going to put on a white keelguard but the more I look at boat pictures I see alot of black keelguards on white hulls. Whats the deal?

I have a white hull and am going to buy a protector as well. I think the black is probably easier to keep clean, or at least does not need cleaned as often.....I am going to go with the black on mine.....

White ones get to looking nasty if you fish alot of stained water. I think black on a white hull looks pretty good.

I also like contrasting colors Black on white or white on black. Some times the color shades are off a little if you use the same color and it looks odd IMO.

I think a contrasting color looks better. I have a red cap w/white hull. I went with a red keelshield. Looks great.

Most of the white keelguards I've seen had a yellow tint to them. I went with the black on my boat and couldn't be happier!!!!

Believe it or not if you are fishing in stained water it shows just as much on black as it does on white.I have a black bottom on my skeeter and my brother has a white bottom and their are days on the river that mine shows the scum line more than his.
