Software update::::Dec

Am i correct in saying that a new software is out which only affects Panoptix? I updated in Nov to 9.00/3.30 for Gpsmap 7610xsv & 5.00 for Panoptix Ps-21 & PS-30

The new for Panoptix is 5.10 as of dec.19

So, I guess you have to download the whole package, which includes 9.00/3.30 that I already have. I don't think you can download just for the Panoptix..

All I have seen is the Bundle. If you have echomap these guys are having problems with 3.80 so I would hold off till they get a fix.

It must be in this update. I'm running 9.00, sonar 3.30 and Panoptix 5.0. This update is still labeled 9.00/3.30 but it must be for the Panoptix. I went back and looked. My software is dated 2016-10-20. The update posted is dated 2016-12-19. I've not seen the issue so I may just wait till the next update for the 7610.

Yes, the most recent download bundle (Dec. 19) will provide Panoptix 5.10.

The only change in 5.10 is it fixes a random short pause. I had not noticed any pausing but others have.

Sounds like exactly what I have been experiencing so I will do the download.

I did this update yesterday but I had to do a "Google search" to get it. I went to "my Garmin" and it listed my GPS 7610 and PS 31 but when I checked for downloads it said there were none available for my products?
When I did a search this came up and it is the update mentioned in this thread http://www8.garmin.com/support/downl...ls.jsp?id=8743
Confused as to why it didn't come up with my products on the Garmin site?

Yes, that link is where I go to check for and get new up-dates. I dont trust My Garmin. "My Garmin" doesnt seem to keep up with Panoptix up-dates - just the mfd. I dont know if it works for other accessories, like radar or not.Im guessing not.

Another issue with their website.

They seriously need a new webmaster.

Garmin's website is terrible for anything beyond looking at products.

Web page makes sense to me. All you have to do is click on the unit, click software, click the package and you can see the details. Panoptix was the only thing in my system that updated

I agree Troy but when you go to you "My Garmin" account page, it lists your registered products and has links to downloads for your product, would that not be the place to find your updates, isn't that why we register them. I would have had no way of knowing there was even an update available if not for some of the guys on BBC, not picking on Garmin, just stating a fact.

My PS21 doesnt show up at all. Sometimes I get email notices of software up-dates for my 7610, most of the time not.

i never log in to get an update. That's how humminbird does it. i simply go to the product page and click on the unit I own, then software. I also get an email notification for every new update

I would like that...certainly would solve some issues with those of us that are users.
