    Yami Alarm when boat idles...

I had a new 2007 225 HPDI factory installed on my 2003 ZX225 and am at 8 hours on the break-in process. I came off plane yesterday and put the motor in neutral and got a non-continuous alarm from the dash. It is a warning alarm that comes in and out at a regular interval, alarm sound...pause...alarm...pause, etc. The oil light and overheat light are not lit up. If I put it in gear the alarm stops and I can run it at full power at any speed. Actually ran 4 miles back with no issues until i put it in nuetral and the alarm started again. When the boat is off the alarm will sound if I turn the key a little without turning the motor over. i have gas and oil in each tank. Any ideas? I hope this is an easy fix!

    Thanks,

water in fuel??? Try emptying the fuel filter canister inside the cowling, plus change your fuel/water separator if you have one installed.

That solved my problem when mine did the same thing. Although I never took mine off the trailer when it happened so I don't know if it would have stopped or not while running.

agree with k.d. Have had same problem and water was the culprit. The alarm on mine also stopped when I put it in gear. Has something do with the float in the filter. I'm assuming that when you put it in gear the extra flow pushes that float back down to where it's not setting off the alarm.

No water on my check of the entire system. I pulled the micron filter in the rear of the boat, the water seperator on the engine side and emptied the "silver" tank on the engine itself. No water in any of that gas. Ran the boat at the lake to check and it did the same things after the fuel filters where emptied. I took it to the dealer and will let everone know the results. Any more ideas are welcome. Everyone on this board is greatly appreciated!
