My Boat is a early 2007 model before the recessed tray was standard. Anything under that front part of the deck that I should be concerned about before a cut a hole in it. I'm a little scared! What model tray looks and will work the best? Thanks Rick
I was wondering the exact same thing. I have an '07 ZX190 that didn't come with the recessed tray either. Seriously considering doing the same thing.
Cant help with the question but i will say that ive had it both ways and with the recessed foot is GREAT. I dont look like the captian morgan guy when i get off the water!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure am glad that skeeter has gone to that now

will not be a problem. there is nothing you will hit. i put several in 190, 200 and 225's
I got a question fer yall , I am about 350 and I am wondering will the plastic trays hold up with that amount of weight on them ??

I know everyone who has one loves it, but I can't cut a hole in my boat and I prefer the glassed in recessed foot pedal. I think i'm gonna continue to "Captian Morgan" it until I get a new I class.

My i class has it glassed in. but my zx200 i "captin morgan" it. Its nice. but i to would be a little nervous but people do it all the time.

I think it also depends on how much fishing you do at one time..I have my boat at my cabin, so I usually fish a few hours then had back home and relax for a bit & eat before heading back out..
If you fish all day long, then maybe adding an aftermarket reccessed pedal would pay off in terms of helping against fatigue...

I added one to my SX-190 last weekend. One of the best things I did.
I added a comfort-troll to my ZX225 and it is one of the best upgrades that I have ever done on any boat. It makes a huge difference if you are on the water for long lengths of time. The actual installlation is a bit scary as most have pointed out but it really is not that much of a big deal. I went with the comfort-troll because it was recommended by all those that have installed it and it is metal.

found and ordered mine today .....except it was from a company called "troll EZE" made the same only it is square on the heel instead of rounded .....oh yea did I mention it was half the price !!!
Had dealer install a tray when I bought the rig...insisted on braces under it... I always suggest some simple treated wood braces or such because fiberglass work is as costly as it gets... I plan to have this rig at least 10 years...very happy after 8 months and 40 trips or so...enjoy the comfort... after 24 years of standing on 1 foot for 8-9 hours...its been wonderful...
