Most will say 36. My ZX225 came with a 36, but since I already had a spare 24, I traded with a friend for a MK80. The only problem I see is if you fish rivers with a lot of current, 24 may not be enough.
I have run 3 zx225's as demo's with the 80lb. Minnkota, and have never had a problem. I fish some rivers with current and the 80 has been plenty. Also fish KY Lake alot, and again never a problem. My 2 cents.
Thanks,
i dont think there will be any problem with the 24 unless you fish tailraces and such. most of the guys i know with 21ft boats run 24volt motors with no trouble at all

well i can say on the connecticut river which is close to me my 80 lb minkotta doesnt push it up the river very fast or at all the current is about 3mph
Neil got a 24 on my ZX225 no problems even in the wind.
