I need some info one way or another.
I love the 20i! I just sold my 2006 and have ordered another just like it for 2007. Best riding boat I 've run. Very solid, stable and smooth, dry ride. I have not seen anything I really did'nt like on it.

Eric,
Compared to what?
You might want to read the Frequently Asked Questions posted with the sticky up above, also.
ciao,
Marc
Compared to a Bass Cat or a Triton. Speed, Handling, Swallow water fishing, the ride. ect.
Eric,
I am by no means an expert on Bass Cats or Tritons, but I have fished out of both (several models) and have close friends that own both.
First let me say that all three are excellent boats so all three brands will have their fans.
I prefer the iClass in that I feel it is the best engineered and strongest of all brands; not just the ones you mentioned. The Skeeter is easy to drive at high speed, and is the best handling of the three. I can set up a comparable size Triton to run a shade faster, but I can't set one up to ride as well or fish as shallow. I think the Skeeter is easily the strongest of the 3 brands, and the Cat is second, and the Triton last; but all three are strong so this is a mute point unless you experience a lot of rough water conditions that stress a boat.
The new X2 Triton is starting to grow rear sponsons like a Skeeter, and I bet in a couple of years they will be even larger. The advantages in stable ride and shallower take-offs are too good to ignore.
I really like the features of the iClass, and the engineering. The seats are the best I have used, and you will really appreciate them in rough water. A day of fishing in an iClass will convince you it is well-planned and organized. It is as steady of a platform as you can buy.
Again, read the FAQ's above for even more info.
ciao,
Marc
Marc Thanks so much for the info. My choices are down to BassCat and Skeeter. Now I guess the next thing would be customer service.
Eric,
Customer service is important, but I think you will find that both Bass Cat and Skeeter provide topnotch customer service, and both offer excellent warranties.
Frankly, I would make my decision by riding in and driving both. Best yet would be to go fishing out of each. Then make your decision. You are talking a whole lot of money, so it is worth the effort of hooking up with test rides rather than making a decision that you may later regret when the fun of buying a new boat is over.
I know you can find test rides by doing a little homework in your area. If you are out my way, I would gladly take you out in my 20i.
ciao,
Marc
Thanks I have a dealer in Birmingham that carries both brands so I will talk to them. Thanks again for the info.![]()
Both companies like Marc mentioned have high levels of customer service.
Skeeter has won the Marine Industry CSI for Fiberglass Outboard Boats(Consumer Satisfaction Award) 5 years in a row! That states alot about the company and how they take care of there customers. Especially for a company that sells the number of boats that Skeeter does. If you ever attend a Skeeter's Owner event they really roll out the red carpet for their owner's. It's more like a family reunion. I'm very proud to be a part of that special bond.
What ever you decision you'll make the right one that best suits you.

Hey they are all nice boats.....the Skeeter is the easiest to drive of the three and will be the easiest to sell....BassCats are really nice and fast...but the Skeeter is better at speed....the Tritanic is the fastest, but tritons beat you up a bit in the rough stuff and take a little while to drive fast...with confidence anyway....personally I like the ZX250 better than the 20i but thats just me....I would really like to have a ZX250 with a 250xs..
Franklin
Hey Franklin I am just days away from ordering a ZX250/250xs. The dealer will only put Mercs on the back. Hope it is a fast boat, the guy I fish with will never shut up if his Triton is faster !!
I own the 20i and the only thing I would do differently would be to order the longer shaft trolling motor. My old Skeeter ZX202 seemed to be lower in the water in front then my 20i and the tm prop comes out of the water in pretty low waves where it never did before. Other then that, I wouldn't change a thing. I love my Iclass.
Good luck on your decision.
John
Don't worry it wont...won't be close...that boat motor combo is going to get your 77-78 MPH GPS
