I20 or I21

How much better is the 21 in the rough stuff (champlain, erie) . Looking at buying an I20 but the I21 is not much more. Thank for the input.

The 21 I runs great in the 5-6 footers we have out here on the Columbia River. I traded in my 21 foot Procraft for the 21I and there is a huge difference between the ride of the two. The seats on the 21 I have so much more cushioning to soften the ride and the extra 200 lb difference makes the ride that much softer. If your fishing big bodies of water go with the 21 I versus the 20I. If your fishing smaller lakes then go with the 20.

I love mine and several Ranger and Triton guys were impressed that the I Class 21 rode so much better than there boats.

I have run both the 20 iClass and 21 iClass in rough water (Columbia River), and it is true that the 21 has the edge...but I have found the edge so slight that I prefer the 20 iClass overall since it is a shade faster, and makes working small coves and docks a little easier. The shorter length is important to guys with limited parking space.

Frankly the difference in these two boats is so slight all the way around that I would say go with your gut feeling on which you prefer. Both are great, and both will handle your big water well.
