    TM mounting help

I just bought a new MG 82 trolling motor and installed it with the isolators. I know this is not the best/most secure way to mount it, what is the current "best" way to mount the mount? I have a 185 zx and cant seem to get my hand up to the 4 front holes, the space is EXTREMELY limited! anyone have any ideas? I would like to bolt the mofo down at all the corners but like I said I cant get my hand up to the front.

    thanks

On my older boat, the isolators kept on busting when tighting down on them. I ended up buying some rubber fuel hose, cutting it into 1 1/2" pieces, squeezing it down and cut a hole in the center to push the bolt threw. Also used large washers to back it up. Bolted it down and that was the end of that. Never had a problem. Brother-in-law has boat now and it's still there. I had to get a set of hands (wife) that were small enough to fit to help out.

Well, if you have any desire to add a recessed trolling motor pedal tray, wait until you cut the hole in your deck, then you'll have plenty of room to reach your hands to the bow.

You can't reach the holes closest to the bow. In those holes use the isolator T nuts. For the others use old T nut rubber with the nuts cut off and a washer and lock nut. This will mount the motor level and isolate all holes plus will be super secure.

I made a plate for my Skeeter also. Actually, I made 2 plates, one for the front holes and another for the rear.
