Hey guys, I was reading the postings on installing a recessed foot pedal and I would like to install it on my 2001 zx250. Where are you purchasing the tray? Is it from Skeeter? I know someone has done it on a zx250 and I would really appreciate the help before I start cutting.Thanks, Grubby
I bought my Comforttroll directly from them. It is installed on my '06 ZX190. I think jgun has a ZX250 with the tray installed.
You can order trays from Cabela's and prolly BPS, or straight form the manufacturers - Comfortroll, Flat Foot and Pro Tray. My local pro shop carries "FF" & "CT" in stock. If you contact the companies they can send you to a local dealer to put your hands on one before you buy!
Do a search of the forum on "recessed pedal tray install" and you should get several hits. Read them all as you will get good ideas from all of them. It's really not difficult to do it yourself and end up with a professional job. The hardest thing is the first cut - especially in a new boat! Just take your time, know what's under your deck, and measure everything out 3 or more times to avoid mistakes.
Bought mine straight from the company. Go online to jaboatworxs.com. There you will find your boat w/a picture of the installed foot tray (comfortroll).
I did one better and called the company and talked with Mr Thompson one of the owners. He was very helpful. Bought, shipped the same day, and rec. in two days.
Another reason I bought from them was it was cheaper @ $129.00 + shipping and handling.
He even called to see if I rec. the tray and if I had any questions.
