Need a little help- one of my team stickers fell off and I have since received a new one. What should I clean the side of the boat with to keep this one from coming off? (I like to think that the other one got blown off by sheer force of the wind as I flew down the lake!!).
I've been using diluted Simple Green to wipe down my boat after a day on the water. A local fiberglass repair guy who posts on our local bulletin boards told me it was a degreaser and would remove wax, so I'm not using it any longer.
It sounds like it would be perfect for your application. It's non-toxic and won't hurt the 'glass at all.
Prep with rubbing alcohol. Then mix a couple drops of dishwashing liquid in a squirt bottle with water. Spray the area where the sticker goes and spray the sticky side of sticker. That way it will float so you can get it aligned where you want it. When you have it in the right spot, squeegee the water out, starting in the middle and working your way towards the ends. If you dont have a squeegee, use a credit card.
