2011 Ranger Z518 deck extension

Just purchased the deck extension from Ranger. As has been posted elsewhere. No instructions included. I would like some advise on the brackets that came with the extension. There are four. "L" Brackets, which I assume are screwed to the bottom of the extension, 4 small flat plates that are screwed to the sides of the rod box and cooler, and 4 thumb screws that goes through both. I would like to see pics of someones brackets and how they are installed. If my assumption is correct, two on the cooler back, one on either rod box. Also, it appears that in addition to drilling for the two screws in the small plate, the center must be drilled to allow the thumb screw to fully tighten. I would really appreciate any advice before I start drilling.

Mine only has 3.

Mine only had 3 as well....but I only used two (the side brackets) to minimize drilling holes. I did not want to risk drilling into the cooler.

I had mine installed at factory, when I bought it new. They only used 3, 1 in each side and one centered in the cooler.

Thanks to everyone that replied. Especially for the pics. Those made it clear as to how to place the brackets. I believe I will only install 3 also. The less holes, the better.

I paid $163 for the extension, with shipping to my door here in Maryland it was $205. Well worth it. I was surprised how quickly I received it. Only two weeks. I was given a lead time of 3-5 weeks. It took almost 2 months to receive my second console.
