I have a 2004 Evinrude 225HO DI(not etec). I took it in recently to have a little service work done. The mechanic told me to run some "fuel system cleaner" thru the engine. I never thought to ask him, so I'm asking here......should I run the fuel system cleaner in every tank of gas or just occasionally???

If you're using quality oil and buying "clean" fuel, you really don't need it in every tank. Maybe just for a couple of fills. Follow the directions on the bottle and DO NOT over-dose with fuel system cleaner or fuel stabilizers.
If you do not regularly (say at least once a month) fill your fuel tank, you would be better served to use 2+4 in every tank of fuel.
I recommend adding 2+4 when you fill up. Its best to stabilze fresh fuel, not stale fuel. Again DO NOT exceed the recommended dosage.
