Ranger Travel cover on a Z-21

anybody have any experience towing long distances with a ranger travel cover on a Z 21
I got to make about a 600 mile haul form Mo to MN. Typically i don't like to tow with the cover on due to scratching . Looking for some feedback

    Thanks

What you need to do is wrap the boat with seran wrap where the cover goes on. The wrap is keep the boat safe from the dirt and scratching.

Yep, and also go a wrap above and below it just for safe keeping. Works great then cinch the cover down and let it rip.

If you know you have good weather, tow w/out it as towing with a cover can kill your fuel mileage.

My only scuff marks from traveling with cover are right at consoles area on the top cap where the strap winches down. I rarely use the cover when driving now. Snow / Salt mean cover though

I towed my z21 everywhere with the cover on for the first couple of years and the cover dids it job but also got worn out...........second cover didn't tow as much.............but the first one went through some crazy t storms at interstate speed several time and the boat was bone dry but after a few years small leaks formed at the seams but again I towed it multiple 4-5 hour trips at 70 mph plus covered and I would love to see what cover could stand up better

The trick is to keep the cover really tight. Stop after a few miles and retighten. It seems to stretch after a few miles. Then every time you stop at a rest stop. The newer covers with the boat buckles are amazing and are the best thing I have ever seen for a cover.

So if the weather is good roll with it off (My preferred option), But if the weather is bad put it on...tighten it up....and recheck often.

This is how I do it, as long as the pavement is dry the cover is off and if the pavement is wet the cover is on. I also notice the stretch and retighten after either letting it sit for about 10 minutes or drive a few miles and then retighten.
