    Rub rail sealant

    I'm going to take my rub rail off to clean my Ranger and was wondering if I need to re seal the bottom part when i put it back on. Thanks

    Only if you dont want water in your rod lockers and hull!

    Currently, the top isn't sealed. Should I seal that?

    Unless you are replacing the rubrail why are you removing it? That's alot of work just to clean a boat. Pop the insert out and see if it is screwed or riveted in place. You can reuse the screws, but if riveted you will need a bag of long 3/16 rivets available from Ranger or your dealer (MARE?).
    That being said, if you remove the rubrail you will see how the boat is put together and where to place the sealant. Use 3M or Boatlife sealants.
