Torn seat repairs

Anyone had any luck with a patch or something similar to repair a small tear in one of the seats in your bass boat? I have a 1 inch tear in one and looking for a cheap fix that will actually work.

I have heard talk of a kit that you could fix something like that with but have not ever seen it personally. You can order just the skin replacement though that will not cost you a arm and leg.

You can get Liquid Stitch, and it will stop the split from getting worse, and get you by for a while. Best bet would be to go ahead and order the skin from Ranger.

If you do it yourself and it is visible....I bet you will not be happy with a patch kit.....There is franchise called Doctor Vinyl or something like that you might consider....if you can find one locally. they can make a patch and match it with a vinyl paint that you would not notice unless you really knew where it was.

I imagine it will still cost at least an arm huh? And when you buy a skin, what is next? Stretch it on and sew it together or is it a highly detailed/technical upholstery job?

What is a seat skin? My 2002 195 has tears on the seat bottom seams on both seats. The tops are fine
