Why a $250 rebate on a HDS 5 bundle and only $100 on the more expensive units?

My guess, and it is only a guess, is to compete more in price with Humminbird.

But, if you get an HDS unit and a Structure Scan unit (but not in a bundle), then you can get a $300.00 rebate. The $300 rebate makes the bundle price (the bundle price is $200 less initially but only has a $100 rebate) and the individual price of a unit and a Structure Scan exactly the same (after the mail-in rebate).

I copied and pasted the following from their announcement e-mail:

So it looks to me like there is a $150 rebate on the LSS-1 / Structure Scan unit.
