Dual console question...

I'm looking to buy a 518vx or 519vx... year 2000 and up. I want a single console. My question is... can all year models for these two boats have the additional console removed? They're not actually molded into the boat for these year models are they?

It's my understanding that they are bolted and glued. Is this correct?

That's my understand too. Mine is not molded ('04 519) but have read that people who remove them need to cover the newly exposed side somehow.

yes they can be removed but the boat will need a piece of rubber diamond matting placed every wear the console touched the boat. all along the front edge and all down the side.

After having a duel console, I wouldnt have one without it. JMO

I am getting one installed in my new Ranger Z518 at the dealership before I go pick it up. Waiting on it now. That consol is an option, as you don't have to get it.

Yes sir that is correct, if it is in there it will be kind of hard to get out being in there so long but it can be taken out.

Bass pro sells some great look alike to the ranger pattern and it is way cheaper. sure on there web site in there marine catolog it is called sure steps.

Cabelas also sells nice looking matting. Plus there are a few places online that sell it also.
