    Swing-away tongue pin

I need a favour from the phamily. Could one (or many) of you please grab a vernier and measure the diameter of the swing-away tongue pin.

I need to store the boat while I'm away on business for a week and would like open the tongue and padlock one of the holes on the swing-away tongue to deter anti-social types from liberating my boat. I need the diameter to buy the correct padlock size.

The agony! I get the boat on Thursday morning and I'm off on business for a week on Thursday evening.

Can't you just get one of the master lock tongue locks and lock it closed?

    Thanks!

"Fancy" locking solutions like hitch locks are near-impossible to find in South Africa. Got to resort to the next best thing. Ideas are welcome.
