    numbers on 719 and 721

I am really considering switching from Ranger to Phoenix. I know a 225 on a 719 would be very economical as my 225 opti I have now is great but I was wondering what kind of speeds you guys are getting out of both models. Is the 719 any slower than the 721 with a 250
    Thanks

I wouldn't under power any boat. Buy the Phoenix with the 250hp on it.

At a Sports show in Marion, IL last week, one of the local guys showed me a pic of his 721 w/250 Pro XS....80.2... said he had a MG 109 36v tm on it. Will take a close look at his rig when I get a chance.

The top speed difference is not consistent with all boats depending on weight of your stuff, tm selection, batteries, second console etc..etc...

The speeds are close enough not to be a selection factor. I would look at other things such as price difference and your budget, towing issues, size boat differences, size waters that you fish, etc..etc.. I fished SoCal waters for many years out of a tracker and think the 719 is more than adequate for those waters. However if you are a big guy and fish with others you may want the little extra room of the 721.

I have a fairly heavy 721/250 SHO and can barely do 74-75 and I am slightly over propped with a 27 with big heavy batteries (4 PM1's).

Both rigs are great! Good Luck with your decision.

I run a 2011 721xp 250 xs..... I have a lead foot. With 4 deka 31 batteries and full tourney load I can run a smooth 73.7. Keep in mind the atlas jack plate makes all the difference.
