    721 ?'s

I have been reading about these boats for about a year now. What kind of GPS speed are y'all seeing with the 250 SHO? How is the handling at WOT? I just sold my Skeeter ZX 225 and I could eat a sandwich at WOT, it was very stable. I really like the Phoenix and it seems like the best bang for the buck.

    Re: 721 ?'s (Prowler59)

The SHO in good conditions looks like it has been seeing 76-78 MPH top end speed..
I have a 250 ProXS and the best speed i have seen to date is 78.6..
It might not be as rock solid as a skeeter at speed, but it is not a hard boat to drive once it is set up for optimum performance.
I came out of a ZX225 also and would not go back, Phoenix boats are awesome!!

    Re: 721 ?'s (DerekG)

76.7 is my best top end speed per my GPS. That's me, one console, 1/2 tank of gas, empty livewells, and cooler water temps.

I'm running a SHO 250 (well sort of right now ) and a manual T&H jackplate with a 27p Yamaha ventless T1 prop.

This boat is a rocket and the easiest driving boat I've ever had and I've had the top lines of a couple of other brands.

Phoenix has hit a home run with the entire model line of boats.

    Have a look:

DerekG, I had Blazers before my Skeeter and I was amazed at how smooth and fast it was. Then I rode in a Phoenix 619 and I was thoroughly impressed at every feature. It is a well thought out bass boat.

Chuck, I read every post you made about your evaluations before you bought your Phoenix, up until your most recent misfortune with your SHO. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with it and I hope Yamaha does resolve the issue the way you want.

    Thanks Jonathan.

It now looks like the solution I have been seeking is now nearing the point where I have needed it to be.

When you run track up...the map can be constantly rotating which drives some of us crazy!

Les, my translator seems to be driven nuts by that sentence structure,

I am ashamed... sentence structure is important as well as good typing ...

    Re: 721 ?'s (Prowler59)

    P.S. ...

The best performance of my 250 SHO and Phoenix 721 was the other day when I had decent water conditions to run fast. (Too many boat wakes and open windy areas on my lake)

With 1/2 tank, four BIG PM-1 batteries (75# each), moderate load and myself 235lbs .... 27" Yammy prop .... 73.4 mph.

Weather conditions were 105F with 89% RH ... this reduces the hp by approximately 6.5% so my 250 was really a 235 hp.

I am not a seasoned driver so I had to keep it in a slight left turn so I am sure there is a little more there. Either way, this is great performance in this heat. The holes shot was right up there as well.

    I love my rig!

    Re: 721 ?'s (falcooon)

That's pretty good considering the conditions. This heat is a real horsepower killer.

Your posts are generally so well worded, I had to give you a hard time. Thanks for brightening up my day.
