    921 Who has driven one.

Has anyone driven the new 921? I have changed my order from a 921 and it is scheduled to be sprayed next week. I guess I am second guessing myself a little. I have driven the 721 and was very impressed. Is there any real difference in the handling of the 721 and 921.

    Thanks

From what I have been told, no real difference in handling (turning, etc.) and even a slightly better ride than the 721 (amazing huh?).

Maybe VeradoRay will be along shortly. He has been running one for a while now.

I've heard the same things Jason has. I would IM VeradoRay and ask him. He's run his since this spring.

I have run Verado Ray's 921 along with Junior. It's an amazing ride handles as well as the 721 but should offer an even better ride in the rough stuff. Huge deck & rod boxes....... Awesome boat!

Ray is fishing Northern Open so he may not respond for a day or two. My opinion 921 handles and rides a bit better than 721. Call Jeff H at plant Monday and depending on where Ray is and what he has going on next week maybe he can arange you a ride and drive to ease your second thoughts. Big decision and one you need to be comfortable with.

I am home Monday and Tuesday of this week. Would love to give a test ride or rides. I leave for ICAST Wednesday. Will be home the following week, I hope for a few weeks.
Trust me, you will absolutely love the 921 in every respect.
It is truly an incredible boat.

Re: 921 Who has driven one. (VeradoRay)

I have driven Ray's boat. As others have said, it handles and rides very well. The water was smooth, so I couldn't get a good comparison of the rough water ride. However, I did cut the wheel as hard as possible and it hung a corner as tight has my 721. I was impressed.

I was at the factory Wednesday and Jeff told me that yours was the next 921 going in the mold. I think you will be really pleased with it.

what are the differences in the 921 and 721 except the obvious a lil bigger? I met Gary Clouse at Lake Lanier. He was fishing the PAA tourny and I would have loved to riden with him that day. I told him it those Phoenix boats is gonna be the death of my wallet as I had my heart set on the 721 and then they was coming out with the 921. Just wrong.....in a good way.

The size is the only real difference you would notice by looking at the boat. Another thing that was pointed out to me at the factory while I was up there is the small water channels (for lack of a better way of describing) that are desingend into and around the the step up area to the front deck. This is to channel the water away from the passenger rod locker area.
