Can I take it out of my 719 without there being a huge hole there? I need the room up there for my life jackets and duffel bag.

Took mine out when I got the boat and said, I'll never use this silly thing and then after about a week I thought well I'll try it again and put it back in and filled it with the 3600 boxes full of my hard baits.
Net of that story......Never took it out again.
It takes some getting used to, give it a try. It's a terrific way to organize your hard baits. Change takes a little adjusting time to allow it to be the new normal. Love the RTS now.![]()

I love mine too. The front deck compartments are strictly for fishing gear. I throw my life jackets, rainsuit, etc in the back compartment behind the drivers seat. I leave the other back deck compartment empty for my partner's gear.
In the 719, you have to crawl under the deck to get to it. I'd rather store my jackets, and safety gear up there.
Its well made and is very cool.... I just don't need it and its not convenient to get to.

My 618 is the same way. I mostly keep the lures I don't frequently use, but may need, up there. The 3600s get shuffled around quite a bit throughout the progression of the year.
But when I got my boat, I wanted to store the life jackets and throwable in that compartment too, but I didn't want to take out the RTS. I put them on top of the 3700s until a crankbait hanging from the lid got snagged in a life jacket and eliminated that possibility.
That's one of the problems with the Phoenix; too many decisions to be made when it comes to storing your gear! You'll figure out what works best though.

I think you pegged it Charlie! It's an individual preference thing. We are all greared differently. In my older 285 Stratos, I had the 3700 storage row, then put a Sterilite plastic bin over them. I usually wound up fishing out of that bin. It was my catch all. Jeez, I miss that.
The Phoenix is TOO organized, and I'm TOO scatter-brained to use the RTS!![]()

I should try to squeeze the jackets in the RTS before I remove it...

The RTS is a little surprising.
At first I thought it was gimmicky and a little chincy... I bought the boxes that fit it and organized my tackle to utilize it. Gave it a try and I love it. I sit on the main storage lid, reach in and get a bait.
Works terrific! Give it a good solid try first before making a decision. The other stuff can go in many other areas. This area is in a good convenient spot for boxes and baits.

That works. But, on the /618/619/719. There is one door instead of two. This is not a complaint! Just stating a fact. Now, most folks don't mind that, but some of us lazy folks don't want to reach up there for the 3600s.![]()

yes... there... I said it... I'm lazy.![]()

Right. Its a reach in the 719. Besides, even without it, the phoenix is a tackle floatila.. Mark just called me back from the plant and gave me the low down on getting it out and getting the drains right.
... what GREAT service.

Ah...yes...Now I see your issue... I have a 721 and thought the configuration was the same but smaller...
Do what's best for you and enjoy your boat!

Call Jeff H and ask him how much for the plumbing for the drainage. He should be able to send you everything that is required.![]()

Thanks Ed. I never even thought of that... It's usually the obvious things that I don't think of.![]()

Would not call it a kit, but he will send you the two pedestal drains (will need hose claps to keep them on) and the tubing. You will have to drill two 1/2" dia. holes to the left and right of the trolling motor well. You can connect both drains together, but they strongly suggest keeping them separate for better drainage. Very important to make sure and miss the trolling motor pedal well. Good luck and have fun crawling in the back of the compartment to get this all done. If you have a child or know a midget that can use a drill and tools will help greatlyOh makes sure and request the plug that will go in the big hole in the bottom of the compartment as well.
