I'd like to know what performance people are getting with their 721s also. I'd like to hear it for any motor, it would be nice to have a performance thread pinned at the top so it is easy to find.

721s with Shos are running 74 to 76 loaded depending on several factors being load, temperature, 24v vs 36v trolling motor, prop. and jackplate The big bore hammer has some serious grunt on the bottom and the mid range stomp is very impressive

    Re: (Bigassbass)

Top end GPS so far on my rig is 77.1 and that was running light.

Under normal load conditions with just me, no fish (usual LOL!), 1/2 tank of gas, and only 1 console in, I am running about 76.6 on average.

With 2 guys & both consoles with a full tank of gas with fish in both boxes we're 72-74 fully loaded down depending on water conditions.

I run the 27p Ventless VMAXX prop on my rig. I tried the 25p and did not notice anything performance wise other than higher RPM's but no diff in hole shot. Top end came down.

If I had it to do over, I'd put a 10" plate on my rig or even a 12" to get another 1-2 MPH out of it since it's so easy to drive at high speeds.

Fished a 204 boat tourney here this weekend (27th place...) and blew by dozens of boats on pad running 72 and my partner was like man this boat rides nice!

I said, yep! and she's fast too!

    Re: (P-dog)

Might get interesting trying to get the factory to put a 12" JP on a 721, because they recommend 8" but my present one as well as the one on order have 10". Would like to see Jeff's reaction to someone wanting a 12", but then again they have eased up sense when they first started building them.

Oh top speed on my present one was 76.2 MPH GPS by myself, full load of gear and both consoles in as well as that monster of a TM 101 Fortrex on the bow.

    Re: (EdDavisKY)

Had the 12" on my Triton 21X and it got to 80 GPS regularly. It also had MEGA stress cracks on the transom so that might be too much JP setback. Not sure but I will have 10" at least on my 921!

Hold Tight! Did you say on your 921? Did I miss something? Are you upgrading?

    Re: (edowell)

Yup! Not this year but in 2012 for sure (if all things stay the same for me and I can afford to do it then).

I try to sell mine and get a new boat every 2 years. On my next rig I want the flush mount big screen, fiberglass fenders, and that big wide deck as I'm 6'4" and the more room the better! May even try a couple of power poles as they'll have been around long enough to know if they are worth the money or not and whether or not the maintenance (if any on them exists) is an issue.

You can count it being the same color scheme as this one. I love this boat!!!!

If they did not have a 921, I'd buy another 721 tomorrow if I needed to.

    They're that damn good!
