Do you mean the one at the drivers console? The fiberglass area around that cleat has significant reinforcement. I wouldn't think it would be a good idea to attempt to place one on different boat unless you did the same reinforcement. It would have to a lot weight and pressure from passing wakes and waves. Just my opinion.

You'd sure need a BIG plate behind it so you did not rip it out of your gunnel. You can get a fold down spring loaded cleat from any marine parts store but again, you need to reinforce it big time or it's coming right out with little to no pressure.
One of the best ideas ever for those of us who fish alone mostly.

It would be a good addition to any boat. But, Phoenix didn't just slap one in, they did their homework to ensure this cleat can take the abuse it could possibly see. Not trying to rain on your parade.
