I would like to go with the 175hp option but wanted a 4 stroke and realize that is not an option. So my question would be if the 721 is rated to 250 and a few received 300s could a 618 receive a 200? I am going to assume not but figured its worth a try.

175 is the max. Merc 175 ProXs, I heard a rumor that a 175 Sho was coming soon.
Not likely with them having the 619 rated for the 200. I think the 618 will rate out for a 200 useing the formula. But at the boat show Jeff Hartung ,Jr, myself and others had this conversation. Lets just say I dont think its in the 618's future. They dont want to pull away from the 619 sales and the 618 with a 200 would be a beast. The liability is probably not worth it eaither although it would be sweet. Just a FYI Yamaha is working on a 175 sho.
