    Look at these lid locks

I like the way these lock. Less chance of leaking too. Would like to see these on the 2013 MYs. Course the world is gonna end soon. so not sure if it matters.

Bryan , what am I missing? Those look exactly like the ones in my lids now.

are you refering to the fact that the lock is actually on the handle and not the base.

That's what is different! I thought there was something different but didn't pick up on that. Good eye mpino. Mine has the locks in the bottom but as long as I have the latch handle flipped the right way the O-ring seals the key hole from water entering it.

    yup, me too,

I have the same handles on my lids, I had even adjusted the latch on the inside so that I didn't have to turn and pull, just lift, but let me tell you that ain't a good thing.

Buddy of mine last year hit a big swell and his boat did a partial flip, some of his lids opened and stuff came flying out, and ended up in the bottom of the lake, all cause his latches were broken and he never bothered to replace them.

now I make sure my lids are closed and latches are engaged.

These would eliminate the needs for rubber orings and leaking locks.

That's the one thing I've been hoping to see is new latches. The current ones have been around a long time. Ranger has a Perko latch which I think is a new style. They work very well.
