    2012 Z9 TROLLING MOTOR

    is the z9 trolling motor a Minn Kota Fourtrex,80-lb thrust 45" shaft foot control. in the 2012 brochure says it is page 35 but when u build one if u dont option a fourtrex it says the standard trolling motor is a MK maxxam 24v,80-lb thrust,42" shaft foot control my ques is which is the standard trolling motor for the z9

    those are both 24v motors, 80 lbs is a 24v system.

    I would suspect you mean the upgrade is the 101 or 109, which is a 36v system.
    that means 4 batteries, 3 for the tm and 1 for the outboard

    what the brochure says is that its a fourtrex 80 as standard issue is this correct or is it a a maxxum 80 i know u can upgrade to the fourtrex and it even list fourtrex 80s as upgrades as well as101s but look on page 35 of brochure and it list fourtrex 80 as standard

    This is what it says online when you build a Z9 and use the standard TM!

    Minn Kota® Maxxum® 24V, 80-lb. thrust, 42" shaft, foot-controlled trolling motor
    2009 Nitro Z-7, Mercury 175 Pro xs, Hydraulic steering, Motorguide 82lb TM, HDS 7 w/ structure scan, Lake Insight, and Eagle 640c at console HDS 7 Lake Insight at bow networked , 3 bank charger, 6" manual Slidmaster Jackplate.

    I wouldn't imagine a 24 volt trolling motor doing that boat any good. Def. need a 36 volt

    I agree. Heck I have an 82lb on my Z7!

    Miss print in the brochure, it comes standard witht he 80# Maxxum. We just got 2 in from the factory and they have the Maxxums

    thanks just wanting to make sure what was coming on the boat sometimes they do make changes and this would have been great to get a fourtrex as standard but i think the maxxum is a great standard tm to

    i definitely agree more is better but if money is tight i think the standard 80 maxxum would do the job ran a maxxun 74 on my 20 ft skeeter it did fine for 80% fishing i did
