I am from Texas used to fishin big water for bass! I am in Pensacola for 4 months and brought boat but it is pretty much river here. I am lookin for as much help to learn tha hot spots to pass my free time here. Ride alongs, a day on that water in my rig, or even a boat ramp on a river were fishing is good. Thanks!
LAKE TALQUIN!!!!! Never fished it but its on my to do list. ALOT of bigguns come out of there and ive heard about it for a long time. Sounds like a phenomenal fishery. But like you said its part of a river system. I live here in north central Fl. but anytime people talk about fishin west of here, all you hear is TALQUIN! This lady i know's husband is a taxidermist and she said that most of his biggest fish have come from there.
Thanks, I have looked at Talquin. It is 200 miles from Pcola. I am considering a mid march trip to it but I am lookin to find somethin within 30 to 40 miles to wet a line!!! Lol.
