    Cleats on my Gambler

Dont really make it the easiest boat to tie up in high winds..I'ts a 2004 2100 and it has one up front on the side and one off the stern facing the outboard..if only it had 2 on the sides instead of that one in the rear, life would be so much easier.

Its not big deal on calm days but the lake I fish is always windy as hell..anyone have any tying to the dock tips for solo fishing in rough waters or high winds with this set up?

I feel your pain. If someone isn't holdin the boat at the dock, I tie a bumper at the console to the grab rail. The cleat off the stern has always confusrd me.

Re: Cleats on my Gambler (bigmess)

Ive thought about tying a bumper to the console but I dont know how strong it would be..knowing my luck, it would rip that metal " Oh Chit" bar right out of there.

I might have to find someone who can do some custom work and install a cleat in the middle on both sides.

That would solve the whole issue
