    Added hydraulic Jack Plate. Help.

I have a '95 209 w/225 Merc. It had the factory 10" jackplate on it and I took the middle out of it to get it down to a 6", then added a 6" hydraulic. For a total of 12" offset. I am no boat set-up officianado. But I do know there are some on BBC...... I have a 25p Trophy Plus with 1 "Large" port hole and three "Small" vent holes. Hole shot sucks and I don't know how high I should run the jackplate. Do you run it up until you lose water pressure then remember that height or what? When putting the boat on the trailer, I can gas the motor and the rpm's won't come up. Do I need to enlarge ports in prop? Will this help hole shot?

It's lugging for sure. RPM's will NOT come up. Should I open one of the exhaust ports up to have two large and two small?

Is it best to lower motor down with jackplate to get a better hole shot then raise as you come up on plane? What would be your recommended prop shaft height with 12" offset?

either try that trophy with all the holes open, or three holes open. do you have cavitation ring? if not get one.... but the trophy isnt a great hole shot prop. If the holes dont work run the jackplate to the top and lower it while the nose drops.

Other than that I think trashy is dead on!
