300X on my Intimidator?

Okay guys, I might have a line on a 300X. It is around 100 lbs. Heavier then my 200, any idea of how bad it will sag in the azz?

Gamblurr man, how heavy was the XS on your Intimidator?

i dont think you will notice a difference...
gamblurrman had a OUTLAW like i did, but i had a 225 efi 2002 model, weighing 479 lbs...your 300x weighs right at 500lbs...

It didn't really look to me like Toms outlaw sat very low in the water, it doesn't sit any lower than my 2100 w/ 3L

Duke I wondered the same thing. How will it act at 80 or above. My curiosity is killing me as to why they act goofy above those speeds....Any ideas?

I think it might be the pad or the width of the boat.

Maybe it would drive better with motor raised and nose cone gearcase, of course it would have to be over 85 MPH.

My Bullet was a handful to drive too.

Without Hydro Steering on this Gambler though, it was waaaay worse.

man..you must be insane....i dont think even i would try to drive that combo... but then again...
take it slow .....the 93 model will handle that motor better than some of the 95 and ups will.....

I hear ya, I have been driving fast boats for many years so I will definitely take it slow. #1 thing is always gonna be safety.

300x would be crazy on that boat. Be careful with that setup, if you have to get out the gas over 80+ gets a little hairy. I ended up in the passenger seat one day when I almost hit a gator ( he popped up and i was gonna hit him if I didn't do something ) got out the gas and the boat hooked left and then hard right, needless to say Poo came out.

Trashy I will have to check that out. Never gave that a lot of thought. I know the Bullet and Stroker hull's are much lighter than a Gambler. I also wandered about the way a Gambler rides on the it's pad vs. Bullet or Stroker.

almost all of the gamblers have concave pads...not flat like the bullets, or strokers..and steve hit it dead on..the hull is designed to give natural lift, and the motors run better lower in the water...which creates a ton of drag on a sportsmaster case...the gamblers are one of a kind...and the new sterling is no exception...the hull, and pad are completely different than all the past gamblers...i am still working on what this hull likes...i have found some things that it doesnt like...thats for sure...

I have a similar setup wit My hammer I do not have LWP yet and I know that it will handle much better when I get one but they handle the power fine just be carefull at 80+ the smaller boats do not handle the unexpected (ie boat wakes) near as well as larger boats. Just watch the water closely. Have fun. Be safe.

Got motor home last night, Steve is a GREAT guy to deal with, got a smoking deal on this X and he gave me a NEW Oil Tank, with a NEW Smartcraft gauge and line, AND he through in a 26 Big Ear Chopper that looks like new, AND he broke motor down after testing, helped me crate motor and put it on my truck.

Won't have time to put motor on until next week, I will post pics of the Big Block when she is installed.

Thanks trashy, the chopper isn't going on this setup. He just gave it to me to sell. He said he had no use for it. I am gonna start with a 28 Trophy Plus.
