Cut the tab off and just have a flat plat anode instead.

The rake and pitch causes the problem. Cut it off or just trim off what you need to leaving 3/8 clearence.

Try jacking up the motor to 3 inchs below the pad with the propshaft. Should drive like a dream at 65 mph.

Ran a flat plate on the Ranger w/ no problems.
Learning how to drive a G-Boat is kind of like trying to nail jello to tree. I still can't drive mine worth a crap over 70mph, maybe I'm just being chicken. But, like you it feels like things could get out of hand real f'n quick.

I had a 98 Intimidator 2000 w/225 and only a flat anode. In stead at the time Gambler was having a tab added to the skeg.
