    replacing carpet

What weight carpet would you use 16,20,24? Thinking about replacing it this winter. One of our BBC sponsor said to go with 16. This is on a 97 2100.

Hello, Go with the 20. I redid my last 183GT with the 16 and it came out really nice but you could start to see the backing on the sharp corners of the lids. The 20 would have been better and shouldnt mat down as easy.Im pretty sure most manufacturers use a 20oz carpet and this isnt a job you want to do twice.
