Help
I need to get to the back of the top row of gauges on my 2100 dash to look at Bob's jackplate gauge and test for current . . . . is it as easy as removing the four screws securing the carbon fibre dash? I'm worried that they will be hard to line up and replace again once once i remove them. Has anyone tried?? Thank you.

Re: Help (T.O.gambler)
I don't know about the 2100 dash, but I do know about the Bob's guage. If the in-line fuse is good you will more than likely be ordering a new Bob's Guage.
I have had to do this twice now, and there has been a big increase in the price of the guage.
GOOD LUCK!

yes it is as easy as taking those 4 set screws out...just make sure you do not overtighten them when you put them back....the ears that have the screw holes in them will snap off very easy...joe is right though...you might as well call bobs and get them to send you a new guage...i just had to replace mine... its a piece of cake...they should have a plug in on the power leads...check the fuse first though...i have also seen the wire at the jackplate get pinched and broken...

And as long as you have the dash out, Do yourself a favor and lengthen the lead wire so the fuse can be changed without taking the dash out to get to it.

Re: Help (T.O.gambler)
John, the four screws come out easy and if you mess one up you can get replacements from Home Depot (the pull-out drawers), ......although I had to go to a size larger. Check the fuse, there's a history of Bob's blowing the fuses. I finally solved the problem by going to one size larger fuse, it hasn't blown yet, knock on wood.
and yes, lengthen the fuse wire so you don't have to pull the dash again.

Re: Help (G-Boat)
I removed the dash and got to the back of the gauge but I could not find an inline fuse, only an inline plug that I opened. Do all of Bob's gauges have an inline fuse? and where would it be located if not behind the gauge?? Thanks for your input fella's.
