    27 TXP

I'll be trying a 27 4 blade TXP this weekend. Does any one else run one on a 2100, and how high are you running it. Any opinions.

Have you run Steve's(trashy) 28 TXP???
I thought the 3 blade 28 TXP was better on the 2100!!

    Re: 27 TXP (1outlaw)

Yes, I ran trashy's txp this weekend, I thought it was a 27 though. The lake wasn't the in the greatest condition but I didn't notice a real difference between it and my power tech 27. The whole shot was worse.
I'm gonna run Dell's 4 blade Saturday, just wanted to see other peoples experiences. I fish with heavy fishing partners with a lot of crap so I think the 4 blade will be better.

dont think the 4 blade will run better than the 3 blade...there is a new blade design 4 blade txp out there floating around that may be interesting...you are going to have to get a prop tuned to run on the 2100...tempest..runs good...got to be tuned for hole shot, and top end...
txp...same...needs pvs holes, and tuning to run top end...trophy...runs good...got to be tuned....the holeshot on the txp can be great with the pvs plugs added...and the powertech is a great prop...i just couldnt keep the blades on them....

adam, I didn't of even asking if you had any props with you. Dell's coming up this Saturday for something, then leaving Sunday morning. I was gonna go to Kerr for a few hours to see how it run then take it back to him Saturday afternoon.

When was the last time you ran a PowerTech prop? PowerTech uses a double heat treat process now that is to cure that old problem of cracked blades. I had a PowerTech that came on my 2001 Intimidator and developed a crack, I caught it before it slung the blade. PowerTech replaced it and I have had no more problems with it. I have two CLU150TRO4r27P now with no issues.
I'm upgrading my motor to a 08 225 Pro XS and will be buying a square bore PowerTech TRO4 27 for it.

    Re: 27 TXP (trashy)

If you fish with a lot of stuff in the boat and heavy people like me then the best prop you can put on it is a worked Bravo 1.. You need either four large holes or eight PVS holes in the prop to get the hole shot where you need it on a Bravo and some fine tuning to make it run on top.. Mark Croxton is as good on a Bravo..

I ran your 3 blade TXP. That's the prop I was running while, let's just say other unfortunate events were happening.
