Check Engine Light?

'97 Evinrude FITCH MOD. E150ILEVC SER. G 04283435 When I start up the check engine light comes on for about 10 seconds with alarm. Alarm goes off but light still on. Runs fine WOT. Come off of pad and start idiling down alarm goes off again. Water pumping out pee hole. Any idea?

There are a few things that could cause this, have the codes pulled to see what is causing this...IE: water in fuel filter, low or high battery voltage...ETC....
