Hello, raise it up a 1/2" at a time. Make another pass and see if your MPH keeps climbing. Keep going up a 1/2" at a time till your MPH stop going up and your tach keeps climbing-then bring it down a notch.Keep an eye on water pressure as you do this. You will probably need a 26 as your are just about right on 6500 and I wouldnt turn it much over that with the oil injection system. If it was run on premix-you can turn it beyond but to be safe with a stock motor, keep it right around 6500. Also-try and set it up to turn 6500 with livewells full and two guys with gear(a normal tournament load)-3/4 tank gas, that way you have the optimum setup when you need it. It will turn higher than that when you are alone so keep an eye on it or you can change out the prop to a higher pitch for fun.You should be pretty close to your setups top speed,so grab a friend- fill the livewells and make a few passes and start going up from there.Set it up to what you prefer(top end or hole shot) or find the happy medium for both.A hydro jack would give you the best of both worlds. My 87s best results for holeshot was around 3" below and 1/2" below for topend. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have a 91 206, when I had a 200 efi on it I was running a 26 trophy @ 6200 rpm and 78 speedo reading. Motor was so high I only trimed half way with a 1 ft. rooster had nose cone and top four water intakes plugged. If trimed any higher I lost water pressure. Boat and motor combo work good. Keep playing with it!!
you'll get it soon. Took me 3 months to get it running good.
