Looking good Vince. It will be interesting on how well that lower-unit will work on that setup. Sharp boat Heading your way in the morning. We'll be spending a few days with the daughter in Hanover and then on to warmer country.

    Re: New motor on (FishNH)

NIce setup, you'll probably wind up increasing your setback to 12-14" to get that Sporty running high enough and to get enough weight in the back for bow lift. I am fixin to move mine to 12" and see how bad it hurts the holeshot.. After you run it give us some info on how it does.. Everyone tells me that a Sporty will not work on a G-Boat but I am hard headed..

    Re: New motor on (dartman)

My holeshot is pretty good even with 4 people in the boat. I have 10" of setback right now with a holeshot plate,( no trim tabs but does have the recesses for them), Bryans foil on the lower. My Sporty is a 2:1 case and I run a labbed 28P Hydromotive quad IV X/B..I have it PVS'ed to spool up to 4500 on initial punch and it has no breakover blowout. I have never officially timed the hole shot from idling on gear to on plane but on a second count to myself from the initial hit it is around 4-5 seconds with 3/4 tank of fuel , full loaded for two to fish and a 225lbs fishing partner..

Vince, real nice looking motor! It sure does look better with a Merc ........I agree you will need the 12" plate with that lower unit on it. also just an FYI i don't have the PROP i thought i had laying around to send you to use...i guess i sold it and don't remember doing it.......Nice looking rig for sure with the Mercury on it!!
