73DV downview not working

I have a one year old 73dv that I recently moved from console to trolling motor. It's mounted with the Garmin supplied brackets on trolling motor and head unit. I have no idea what transducer I have and am not sure how to tell. First trip after the move everything was fine except for some interference. Second trip my downview would not register, it would only flash the depth reading and not move on the display. Traditional sonar worked fine. I have done no updates on the unit. Not sure where to even start so any advice would be appreciated

The unit should work as before with or without an update. Most likely something with the cables. Don't these units have the 4 pin connectors? Sometimes they are a problem. Unplug/Replug. Make sure of the alignment and push hard.

also look closely for any signs of corrosion on the pins and plug.
