I'm gonna move my hotfoot back tomorrow on my Gambler because I am much shorter than the original owner.........
Is there anything I need to know about, like hidden tricks...??

I remember reading about a guy who installed a hot-foot once who ran the tip of one of screws thru the bottom of the boat![]()

use the same screws or even a little shorter as not to go thru and remember to when you move it back to slowly in the battery compartment pull back on the throttle cable just a little as not to get a bind in it. you may also want to install a slide for the plate I have one which I dont use but I dont have the screws any more. I still have the instructions I think . You can get one for about 30 bucks and they go in the same holes as the foot is in then you attach the foot to the plate and it will slide back and forth 3-4" of travel if needed. hope this helps a little

be very, very careful,it's easy to go thru the boat bottom, use very short fat screws
I would use good screws but you always can get bigger ones. with time the screws lose their grip and the go to gigger around ones to keep it snug. The slides are good because then if someone with longer legs drives they can easily adjust the pedal. again stainless steel screws wont rust away as fast if they get wet
