    NEW NONE CURRENT MERC MOTORS

I was thinking of getting a new Gambler. I have one other option on my mind. If I could find a 2005 model year Merc 225 Pro XS, new in the crate, that might be the route I would go. I do like my 2005 Intimidator alot, but my motor is a 2001 Merc 225 EFI.
Thanks for any leads in advance!

Thanks for the info! I will check into Jacos. I thought that Jacos only shipped to Merc dealers?

Not a thing wroung with the EFI. I would like to match my model years if I decide to keep my boat. It just seems that the 225 Pro XS is a little stronger than my EFI, and a little better on fuel.

Seems to me that it's a big expense for not a big return. It might be a little stronger and better on fuel but at what price?
