I am working on a 115 evinrude(tlcrd) 84 model. I have a purple/white wire in the harness that I can't find a home for. I thought it had to do with ignition but the eyelet won't fit the solenoid anywhere. Any suggestions as to where it should go?

motor side or ignition side on the motor side it goes to the Primer solenoid.
Championman has already given you the location on the motor side. The other end is connected to the key switch "C" terminal. When the key is in the on position AND you push the key straight in, it supplies 12V to the fuel primer via the purple/white wire. On your engine, I believe it has a small ring terminal on it. The fuel primer has a small screw that is used to attach that purple/white wire to the purple/white coming out of the fuel primer.
