Ok, Cleveland, I need to know why on my livewell lids you didn't put cam locks. When I am carrying these 10 pounders around, they keep knocking my lids open.

Seriously, do you think you could help me get an idea on how I can replace those finger handles with like a perco twist lock or something like that. What do you think would fit? In rough water at high speeds they are flying open. I am sure it is because my carpet is wearing out and not holding like it use to.

Hey man if you find anting out please let me know, i also have that problem.
I have my partner hold on to them in the really rough stuff, just so they dont bounce open, my carpet is wore but not wore out/rotten. Let me know what you find out on the Perko latches.

Can't you attach a strap with a snap on the end behind the seat that will snap in place on top of the lid. May not look all that great but it would work.

I am going to go with a Twist Lock of some kind. I'll let you know when I find one.

All may not be lost. I believe Lauri (from Cobra) had some Perko locking type handles available at one time. Whether she has sold them all or not I don't know. I remember that we installed them on a few livewell lids but I don't recall which lock we used. The one with the bent latch or the straight latch. Very easy to install though.

Oh yeah i am there every FRi, except today, im headed to the Hospital to be with my Family, Grandma isnt doing well .
I deliver to every store around their all of Mtn Home, Gassville, Lakeview, Bull Shoals, the farthest we go is the Y-Store.
I will honk the big horn next time i go by there.

what i did was streckh me a round bungie cord across them...just put you two anchor hooks on each side of the lids to hook bungie too..works great
