    contact cement for carpet

    Help for a newbie please.
What brand of contact cement is preferred for new carpet? Do you roll it on, brush it on? Put on boat only, just carpet, or both? Lots, sparingly?
    Thank you

Re: contact cement for carpet (Reel)

I have used the outdoor grade variant from Lowe's successfully; however, I understand the one you get from bassboatcarpets.com is very good, too.

Only apply to the deck or surface which you are placing the carpet on by using a grooved trowel similar to what you use to lay tile mortar.
