Systems Check Tach Gauge (SCTG)

I'm about to pick up my new ranger 619 this weekend. One of the items I requested as a option was the remote oil fill with gauge. I received a quote on the remote oil fill with a gauge and without the gauge. Now when I'm thinking gauge I'm thinking of some analog gauge on the dash with a needle on it to tell me how much oil is the reservoir. I saw the boat this past weekend and it did not have an analog gauge. My dealer is telling me that the SCTG has the oil system monitoring built into it. My question is how does this SCTG with a series of lights tell me how much oil is in the reservoir?

A system check gauge with lights will not show you the level. It will be a stand alone analog gauge like you stated.

May be having a brain fart but what does SCTG stand for?

SCTG as stated in my subject line stands for Systems Check Tach Gauge. At least this is what I've been told by my dealer. It's a tach on my dash with a few lights as part of the gauge. I'm not so sure what the lights monitor. I hope to learn more when I pick up the boat.

I was just a bit miffed when I thought I was ordering an analog gauge similar to a gas gauge that shows the level of oil remaining in the reservoir. My dealer states that Ranger does not offer a analog gauge to monitor the oil reservoir.
