I am going to purchase a 98' Coral 202 on mondayI can't wait. I was in a Tracker 1800 F/S, and it sucked. This Coral looks like the best fish and ski available. Any feedback on this boat would be more than welcome. Thanks.

Welcome to the BBC.......![]()
The Coral has always been one of the best Fish & Skis available!!
Excellent boat.![]()
Hey D.J. Welcome to the BBC and WELCOME to the Cobra family. It's great to have you join the best web site ever on the internet !!!
You have made a wise choice. The Coral is the best fish & ski I've ever ridden in. I absolutely LOVE IT. And I have never heard 1 single person ever say anything negative about it.
Backlash is better than I am about explaining all the technicalities about the boat. He will be along here sooner or later to fill you in![]()

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!
I recently sold my Coral 202 and bought a Cobra 201. The Coral was the best fishing fish/ski I found. The ride is not as good as the 201 is because the seats a further forward and the tank is in the back. The wind shield will keep you dry and a little warmer in the winter. What motor does it have? All-in-all great boat!![]()
I loved mine. I had a 2000 Coral with a 200 Opti and I loved it. I called it "a bass boat the wife could approve of." I sold it in March to get a 2003 King Cobra bass boat, which I really love (could there be a trend here?). Grandpa (my dad) got a big Four Winns for the whole family so I was "allowed" to get a bass boat. You will have many wonderful experiences in your Coral. My daughters had a good time in that boat. I always got positive comments on it. There are times when I really miss that windshield...it can get cold in the early AM at 6000 ft.
Good luck with your new Coral, I know you'll enjoy it.

Congratulations on the Coral. I have a 1999 Coral 202 with a 200 efi and my family has enjoyed it for both recreation and fishing. My daughter is leaving for college in a week (O.U.) and my 15 year old son is getting big into fishing, we have a place on Lake Fork so I'm hoping my wife will agree that a new bass boat will be more appropriate now. Cobra needs to get their act together soon because I think I would like to stay with them if they will stay with a quality product and invest a little in marketing.
Enjoy your new boat, it's the best fish'n ski there there is.
i have a 2002 coral i can not say enough about this boat i looked at every fish and ski made this is by far the best one made.i hae had it now for four years and will not part with it. 200 merc on it and does 68.
Well I made the deal yesterday on the boatI am going back down today to pick it up. This boat is in showroom condition. The previous owner only put around 50 hours on it. I was shocked on how nice these boats actually are. This was the first time I have ever seen one in person. One question though, how long of rods can you fit in the front storage boxes?
2006 Skeeter ZX225
I have had a 6" 6" rod in there no problem. I have never tried anything longer though. 6'6" is long for fish 'n ski standards though. Many other manuf. offer very little rod storage in their fish 'n ski's, but in the Coral I have had 15-20 rods in EACH of the two front rod lockers!!!!!!!
I can fit a 7' rod in the right side locker. I actually took a 7' rod with me when I looked at buying my Coral to make sure that it would fit. I only carry (2)- 7 ft'ers with me along with 8-10 6 1/2 ft 'ers. If you use all 7' rods, I'd expect to have some problems getting the tips untangled.
I put rod covers on all rods in the box. They eliminate rods getting tangled together or getting tangled in the wires at the front of the box in the bow.
