495 vs 496
What is the difference? From what I could find, it seems to be when they changed to all composite. Is is this correct?

2 totally different boats, the 496 is all composite, the 496 has a full deck non removable, bigger storage front and rear, new style rounder consoles, the hulls are different also, the 495 has 18 degree dead rise, the 496 has a 15 degree ,the bow dead rise is pretty close better than 50 degrees Very sharp. They both ride very well just two different styles of boats but the same hull design to say.

so would you think the 495 cuts the water even better (18 vs 15). are they the same length?

The 496 is still one mean machine! One of the best riding boats on the water and good speed to boot. High 70's are easy with a 250. Possibly 80 with the right prop and good set up.

Re: 495 vs 496 (TOUCH OF CLASS)
I should throw in that I pushed it a little long and trimmed way up. Made it through the tourney, and blew the powerhead when I got home
. When my mechanic plugged the computer to my motor he called and asked me "what the hell were you doing running from the border patrol". I was 2hrs into my break in on the motor and was just curious to what she could do. Whoops
