    interested in buying a 2004 Charger 496

does the 2004 Charger have all composite construction? If it doesn't, how rugged is one that isn't all composited construction... would it still be a good boat?

Around 06 they went to composite, but charger double coats all the
wood, mine is a 2000 and still very solid....one of the thickest decks around 4 inch think fiberglass/wood transom.

+1 2006 they went all composite. Not a thing to worry about. As long as the boat has been taken care of it should be rock solid.

It doesn't have any powerpoles on it, I live in Louisiana and they come in handy down here, will the 496 have plenty of room in the back for two more pumps for two power poles?

You should be able to make that work easy enough. Does it have a hydro jackplate with the pump in the bilge?
